Savage Mkii Bolt handle mold

If you have one of these bolts with the small round throw lever you know it's not great and in desperate need of an upgrade. However, trying to find someone to do the work and "fix" it to accept threaded bolt knobs can cost more than your entire setup. So I made a handle mold. Please don't attempt this unless you really know what you're doing as you can permanently mess up your bolt handle. I'm posting a video of how I did mine, please watch that first and reach out if you have any questions before attempting this on your own. I used JB Weld 8281 to make the handle. I used roll pins as alignment pins. You can drill them out larger to use whatever pins you want to use, just make sure they are a tight fit. You want to have to pry the mold blocks apart otherwise you'll have to figure out a way to clamp the blocks together. It's better that they be tight fit so they'll hold together without a clamp. You may choose to do this with the bolt in the gun and in the closed position so you're sure the new handle doesn't interfere with it's closing. VIDEO HERE: https://youtu.be/AqGhQUbrIPo
