Ottoman Kulliye Diorama – Sultan Bayezid II Complex Educational Model
This is an educational diorama model inspired by the Sultan Bayezid II Kulliye in Edirne, Türkiye, focusing on the Medrese and Imaret section of the historical complex.
The project was designed as a simple school-friendly architectural model. The building body can be made from cardboard or printed wall textures, while the domes can be 3D printed and optionally covered with aluminum foil to create a traditional Ottoman lead-dome appearance.
The base is designed as a printable garden and courtyard layout with grass, walking paths, stone floor textures, and museum-style information cards. This model is not intended to be a perfectly scaled architectural reconstruction; it is an educational representation that helps students understand the layout and social functions of an Ottoman külliye.
The Sultan Bayezid II Kulliye was built between 1484–1488 and included important structures such as a mosque, medical school, hospital, guesthouse, imaret, bath, bridge, and other social service buildings. The Medrese and Imaret section represents the educational and charitable side of Ottoman architecture.
