Minecraft Torch: LED flashlight, flame effect, 18650 battery
Minecraft torch LED flashlight
Flame effect
18650 battery
What you need
- Flame‑effect LED bulb (AliExpress / eBay, search for "fire led" or "candle led")
- 18650 battery (pre‑welded tabs recommended)
- TP4056 charging board with protection. It is strongly recommended to reduce the charging current to reduce heat; otherwise, the plastic may melt. The factory default is usually 1 amp. Replace the resistor (typically R3, 1 kΩ, marked "102") with one of a higher value, such as 3 kΩ (marked "302") for 400 mA.
- KDC11 switch (15×10 mm)
- 4x M3 screws
- Glue, wires, tape
Printing and assembly tips
- Main body and bottom – brown or wood‑like filament (or paint later)
- Bulb holder – white filament (for better light reflection)
- Top cover – transparent PETG or other light-transmitting plastic
- Add a brim for the main long section.
- Add supports for the bottom section (where the switch is located).
- I tried to keep the size to a minimum, so it’s a tight fit. If it doesn't fit, you can print it at 101–102% scale. At larger scales, the mounting slots for the switch and charging board will be too loose.
- Don't forget to insulate the battery terminals; I used double-sided foam tape for this—it holds the battery in place as well.
