VerhoBot
VerhoBot - Open Source Smart Curtain Robot
VerhoBot is a compact, battery-powered smart curtain robot designed to automate existing curtain rails using affordable and widely available hardware.
Built around the ESP32-C3 and an N20 geared motor, VerhoBot is designed to be easy to build, easy to modify, and fully open source. Whether you want a simple curtain timer or a fully integrated smart-home device, VerhoBot provides a flexible platform for makers, engineers, and DIY enthusiasts.
Why VerhoBot?
Many people use blackout curtains to improve sleep quality, but waking up naturally with sunlight is often just as important. VerhoBot can automatically open or close your curtains on a schedule, through a web interface, or through future smart-home integrations.
The project was inspired by Finnish summers, where bright nights and early morning sunlight can make sleep schedules challenging.
