Summary
This is a 100% original, bolt-free sliding enclosure designed from scratch for the popular DIY Simple 500kHz Oscilloscope with STM32 project by Mirko Pavleski (mircemk).

I designed this housing to give the project a clean, hardware-free cyberdeck aesthetic. It uses interlocking sliding rails and integrated magnet slots rather than screws or heat-set inserts.
Design Features:
- Slide-Lock Rail System: The front faceplate smoothly glides into integrated tongue-and-groove side tracks on the main chassis body.
- Engineered Clearances: Modeled with a 0.15mm to 0.2mm sliding tolerance and 0.4mm internal fillets, ensuring it prints beautifully on standard FDM printers without jamming.
- Magnetic Latches: Integrated precise pockets on the inside margins for small neodymium magnets/steel washers to keep the enclosure securely locked.
- Weight-Saving Side Grilles: Designed with open side walls optimized for a stylized tri-hexagonal ventilation mesh.
Slicer Hack & Print Settings:
- Orientation: Print the main chassis box sitting flat on its back wall. Print the front and back panels flat on the build plate. No supports are needed!
- Filament/Time Saving Hack: To get the open mesh look on the flat side panels without the massive print-time penalty of CAD-modeled holes, leave the panels solid in your CAD/STL. In your slicer, add a modifier volume over the center mesh area and set Top Layers = 0, Bottom Layers = 1 (for a clean interior floor/magnet slot base), and choose Tri-Hexagonal Infill at 15-20%.
