Bee Sweeper
Description
Custom-built Bee Sweeper designed specifically for brushing bees off the frames when harvesting honey or clearing the comb frames. This project combines 3D printed structural components with robust mechanical and electrical parts to create a reliable custom tool for efficient apiary maintenance and hive management.
Features & Specifications
- Drive System: Powered by a Nema 17 Stepper Motor with a 14:1 Planetary Gearbox, managed via an SMC02 Stepper Driver and Controller.
- Power Regulation: Uses an Sbc-buckboost01 module to ensure stable voltage control.
- Cooling: Dual 4020 cooling fans to keep electronics running at safe temperatures.
- Sweeping/Sealing Elements: Equipped with 70mm–100mm Nylon Brush Covers designed for CNC router spindle motors.
- Transmission: GT2 belt drive system (20T to 100T pulleys with a 400mm belt loop) paired with 8mm aluminum rods and 608 bearings.
