A variety of 3D printed saucers for 13mm, 18mm, and 24mm motors

In 2025 I focused on the Crazy 8 Saucer along with the Crazy 8 and Dirty Dozen cluster models.

Didn't think about revisiting the old saucer designs until mid-2026 when I saw a comment in TRF and realized they were still out there tucked away in the Crazy 8 design post which was the original 'saucer series' repository. Those old design needed some tweaking with the addition of a motor retainer, reducing the diameter for the mini motor version, and building a workable flash pan for the clusters.

Put in new batteries in the good 'ol Estes Pro series 2 box and cleaned up the clips. That should do the trick.

2026-08-01 13x3Saucer-130mm dia, A10-0T( x3), Two lit, 40ft? As it tumbled at apogee, the sparks from the booster motor shooting out the top lit the top of the unfired motor. Landed in the grass right side up shooting sparks out the top. That was interesting.

Redesign with smaller diameter. Not sure what is up with the controller struggling with current but this calls for a flash pan!
