Useless Box Alarm Clock – 3D Printed Countdown Clock

A fun 3D printed Useless Box with a countdown timer and a fully functional alarm clock.

Flip the switch and a countdown begins, accompanied by beeps that get faster as the timer approaches zero. Just before the countdown ends, the box opens and a mechanical arm comes out to flip the switch back off!

Besides the classic Useless Box behavior, this project also works as a real digital clock and alarm clock. You can set the current time, program the alarm time, and use it as a unique desk clock.

This project combines 3D printing, electronics, Arduino programming, servos, and a bit of humor.
