FlashForge Adventurer 5M - Filament feeding from the right side
FlashForge Adventurer 5M -
FlashForge Adventurer 5M - Filament feed from the right side, version 2.
I propose a system of guides to switch the filament feed to the right side.
I envy people who don’t mind constantly reaching behind the printer to replace or check the spool. )
The side guide is secured from the inside with countersunk screws. They are carefully recessed into the existing holes in the upper frame. Attach the Teflon tube to the sensor fitting, run it through all channels, and extend it by 3–4 centimeters.
Moreover, as you can see on the pictures, the filament sensor has changed its location, it moves to the upper part of the frame, and the tube extends horizontally towards the head.
All parts are secured with M3 countersunk screws.
The wall is attached to the printer housing with M4 screws.
To attach the hanger to the wall, I used an M4x10 countersunk screw and an M4 fused‑in nut. However, you can use a M4x15 mm screw and a regular nut. The wall parts are assembled using dichloroethane glue, which is perfect for PETG.
It’s better to print with 100% fill.
Don’t forget about shrinkage; for PETG, I printed at 100.4%.
