A minimal filament clip that locks the filament onto itself, so it can be used with every spool and roll of filament.

Instructions

Squeeze between two pieces of filament to lock it. The clip is intended to stay on the filament, moving freely in the largest hole, when the spool is in use.

I just made this quickly in 3mm size and scaled it to 59% for my 1.75mm rolls.

Next iteration, I will close the large end and filament will be fed through so it is fully secured when not in use. I will also add locking grooves so the filament can be snapped into the tightest fitting groove and it will be less likely to slide out. I will also make a proper 1.75mm version.

Updated so it fits both filament sizes, it's now closed on one end, and has grooves for biting.

Next iteration, I will fine tune the minimum and maximum sizes as the 1.75mm filament is not grabbing so well in the closed section. It still works sufficiently.
