Mazda iPhone 6 Plus Radio Cover

This replacement cover for the double-DIN 2003-era Mazda radio includes an auxiliary input jack and a slot sized to hold an iPhone 6 Plus in the Apple leather case. It also includes the original 1960's-era Mazda logo for fun.

It's a rather complex and specific design, but perhaps others can build from it. Some notable things:

  • It includes integrated curved zip tie slots for the aux input cable and on the back to hold wires and such. I have a ground loop isolator attached there.
  • The aux input hole was sized for a Belkin 4' cable, but I ended up using a generic dual RCA cable instead. I imagine others could modify the design or the cable end to fit whatever you have in there.
  • The iPhone slot is angled at 10º which is the maximum to still allow me to operate the shifter on the Miata. You might like to modify it with a steeper angle so you could see the screen better. You might also make it shallower.
  • It is designed with supports so it can be printed with the face at the top for a cleaner look.
