MakerFarm i3v y-axis belt mount
This provides an improved mount for attaching the y-axis belt to the y-bed on MakerFarm i3v-series printers. One concern with the OEM mounting approach is getting a tight belt connection using zip ties around the end of the belt loops. Another concern is that wrapping the belt around the M3 screws could lead to backlash/ripple as the belt rocks on the belt teeth, or as the teeth compress during acceleration and then slack later.
These components are added to the MakerFarm wood belt mount and serve as a clamp to attach the belt. The clamp plate is shaped with form fitting GT2 2mm belt teeth using linear extrude polygon data from Parametric Pulley, http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:16627. Use of the shaped tooth pattern should provide a very secure method for attaching the belt.
The M3x25mm bolt used by MakerFarm to attach the y-belt mount to the y-bed needs to lengthened to M3x35mm in order to accommodate the clamp.
Detailed instructions are included in the openSCAD script.
This is intended to serve as a complement to the x-axis belt mount provided at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:790207.
