#NEPAL3DRELIEF The medical needs of the city Sindhupalchok and Gorkha

This 3D model aims to help people to understand the medical needs of the city Sindhupalchok and Gorkha.

It is reported that Sindhupalchock had 1 hospital and 6 doctors. Also, Gorkha was reported to have 2 hospitals and 8 doctors.

Each city had a population of 287,798 and 288,135. If it is estimated 1% of the entire population of two cities need immediate medical attention, 5600 survivors need the support. If it is estimated 5% of the population need care for the next three months, 28,000 survivors need to see medical staffs periodically. If it is estimated 10% of the survivors need a quick first aid, there are 56,000 patients waiting for the medical care.

This is a 3D population model of the number of doctors and the patients. The block of doctor population is in green. Those who need immediate medical attention is in the blocks of red. Those who need periodic medical care for the next three months are in the blocks of orange. Also, those who need to see medical staffs for the quick first aid are in the blocks of yellow.

As we can see, the number of domestic doctors compared to the number of patients is out-of-proportion. Both cities Sindhupalchok and Gorkha were extensively exposed to the earthquake. Those cities need immediate and ongoing worldwide medical support to help survivors after the earthquake (source : wikipedia).
