Commemorative Lysozyme Crystal

In 1965 the structure of lysozyme was found from an x-ray crystallographic study of its crystals. It was the first enzyme to have its three-dimensional structure determined. An article entitled "Structure of Hen Egg-White Lysozyme: A Three-dimensional Fourier Synthesis at 2 Angstrom Resolution", appeared in Nature on May 22, 1965 - just 50 years ago.
