Summary

A 3D-printed RC car body shell in form of a bed that fits on a Tamiya TT02 chassis. Inspired by the funny creations of Edd China.

Note that the bed is quite large, measuring approx 400 x 240 x 150 mm.

Instructions

Only print files that do not start with "DO_NOT_PRINT".

The STL files are designed for small printers with a 15 cm (6") cube build volume. Note that printing all parts takes a long time, 33 hours on our Lulzbot Mini! We used HIPS for printing.

The following files need to be printed with a brim:

bed-post.stl

The following files should be printed in high quality:

license-plate.stl
light-covers.stl

The following files need to be printed twice:

bed-side.stl
slot-connector.stl

Use only a small value of in-fill on all six mattress pieces to keep the mattress light.

Beside the 3D printed parts you will need a 2 mm thick plate (acrylic, HIPS, wood ...), assorted screws, paint, glue, fabric, magnets, figure, light buckets, LEDs ...

The holes for the lights are designed for the Axial light bucket set AX80045. Feel free to modify the OpenSCAD source files for other light buckets.
