A simple filament guide for the Printrbot simple 1405.

Instructions

Required Tools/Hardware

(1) M3 X 5mm Socket head cap screw (can be cut down from a longer screw)
-Allen Wrench (Hex Key)
-Tool to remove excess filament

Printer Settings

Recommended Slicer: Cura or Slic3r 1.2.7 or Newer

Layer Height: .2 mm

Infill: 100%

Supports: Enabled

Installation Instructions

Remove support material and any stray filament from part
Remove filament from printer
Remove spring loaded arm from extruder
Slide filament guide over drive pulley (hobbed bolt)
Attach filament guide to upper left hole in stepper motor with M3 X 5mm screw
Re-install spring loaded arm to extruder
Insert filament into printer and your installation is complete

Ninja Flex/Semi Flex

Note: This modification does make it possible to print Ninja Flex & Semi Flex on your Printrbot 1405, however if your printer does
not have an extruder cooling fan it is recommended that you use an external fan to cool the extruder when printing flexible filament.
This will prevent the extruder from becoming too hot and causing the filament to jam in the small cavity in the top of the hotend.
