Solidoodle 4 X-Axis Motor / Y Carriage Brace

This is a brace to protect your X axis Motor / Y carriage from warping and melting due to misalignment or over taught belt. This will brace the motor, X motor mount, and help keep the X axis belt from misaligning.

I have included robust and basic versions.

Takes about 1.5 hours or less to print at .3mm

Heat up the warped X Carriage Mount by printing something out. I would say 30 minutes of active movement will warm up the mount enough for you to bend it back into place.
While the X motor is still really really hot to the touch, drop the bed Z axis by 100mm to give you room to work.
While the X motor is still really really hot to the touch, move the print assembly towards the door so that it is easy to access, Y axis +100mm. So that the X carriage is forward from the microcontroller cover.
While the X motor is still really really hot to the touch, stuff two thick junk mail envelopes between the X motor and the chassis cover wall, in order to straigten and center the motor properly. If your belt is too tight, loosen the screw or temporarily remove.
While the X motor is still really really hot to the touch, use some pliers to pinch the X motor carriage mount plastic back into shape. Hold for several minutes until the plastic cools and the motor is correcly oriented again. Do not pinch too tight or the plastic will break.
Now that the motor and mount are correctly aligned again, install the Solidoodle 4 X-Axis Motor Carriage Brace.
