Summary

This is a simple variant of the El Marino Elementary School logo. It is a fast print intended to show the kids how a 3d printer works, while producing something they can take home. It can be attached to backpack zippers, worn on a necklace, and more.

Instructions

For a school demo, I recommend PLA because it can be immediately removed from the print bed upon completion, and it smells more pleasant than ABS. I use a relatively high .4mm layer height to increase print speed. It is meant to be printed when reduced to 25% in the X & Y, but with the Z left alone. At .4mm, this gives a 6 layer print and the pendant is about 1" in diameter.

I also found the best balance between getting the prints to stick and ease of removal when heating the print bed to 45 degrees C. I also print a bunch ahead of time, otherwise it will take a while to make enough for the whole class (at my settings I can print one every 1.5 minutes).
