Summary

A car that works on the same principle as a sailboat. It has a fixed axle that doesn't turn, and trims the sail for wind shifts using a pulley system and crude weather vane.

Instructions

You need

Sailcar parts
Rubber band or similar about 16 cm long
Poly cement or other glue
Cloth for sail plan

Assembly

Print sailcar parts
Put the long thin axles through holes in hull
Slide wheels on ends of axles, glue ends
Put the dowels that have the "x" on one end into the holes on top of the hull, "x" up
Put the two pulleys on the dowels with the bigger one towards the bow
Put the rubber band on the two pulleys so that it crosses in the middle and makes and "x"
Put the mast on the front dowel and make the boom point directly aft
Put the wind indicator on the rear dowel so that it is also pointing directly aft
Cut a sail plan out of the cloth and put it on the boom and mast. Feel free to modify the design for easier assembly
