Summary

This is the top cover for an iRobot Roomba 500/600 robot vacuum cleaner, or iRobot Create 2 mobile robot. This version has an opening allowing you to access the DIN-8 serial port for programming the Roomba with your PC or Arduino.

Instructions

This is an OpenSCAD file, so you can remix it with whatever attachments you want. My printer had a hard time making the four clips strong enough, so they tend to break off, but after several test prints the geometry is close enough the cover stays on regardless.

You'll need a big printer, since the cover is 30cm (1 foot) across. It uses about 70 grams of filament.

This modified version:

Translate comments and variable names to English
Replace Roowifi slot with a round hole for the serial port
Add parameters for wall heights and overall thicknesses
Add lip around inside of handle
Add fillet (bevel) around inside and outside walls
Correct overall scaling to match real Roomba
