Clock Kit Case

Case for the cheap clock kits available on eBay for about $2.50. The clock kit is a good solder practice item, and this case should cover up the electronics nicely.

I'm not working on this any more, but it does still need a bit of work. I ran the clock on 3xAA, and it lasted 2 days, tops. From that, I think running it off batteries is a bad idea. I'd like the case to have a mount for a power supply jack, but don't have time to continue revising the design.

v4 (current):

  • redesigned entire part in openSCAD, with user variables
  • added optional AA battery compartment
  • added option of mounting PCB with a screw or a plastic rivet
  • combined buttons into one part that glues to the top part of the case
  • added a lip to more easily attach the two parts to each other
  • added license + contact to SCAD files

v3:

  • fixed the display lip
  • fixed the connection parts
  • shifted the button holes closer to directly over the buttons
  • evened out the thicknesses of both pieces' bases
  • added buttons to go in the button holes
