This is designed to mount to the great extruder assembly by Mrcleanr6 which can be found here:

V4.1 has slightly shorter retention bumps - making it easier to install and remove on the E3D fan shroud coupling. You could just sand the bumps too if they are too thick.
V4.2 incorporates a chamfer on the top section to clear the ball bearing assembly on the extruder for the newer E3D V6 mount - the V5 had enough clearance to not need this chamfer.
